Where do you think out loud?

Confidential, one to one, with someone outside the organization who has run one.

What this addresses

When you sit in the captain’s chair, people give undue weight to your every passing thought. A stray idea becomes a directive. A question becomes a signal. There is a place where none of that applies, where you can freely think out loud and explore ideas and solutions with someone who has sat where you sit.

There are things a senior leader cannot say to anyone inside the organization. Fear. Confusion. Doubt about a decision already announced. That a person you promoted was the wrong call. That you are tired, or that you are thinking about going somewhere else. Everyone inside is looking to you to be in charge and to know what you are doing, which means saying any of it internally carries a consequence.

So most senior leaders carry it alone. Not because they lack judgment, but because there is nowhere in the structure to put it.

What the work looks like

One to one and confidential, with someone outside the organization who has run organizations with sole responsibility for the outcome. Outside is the point. No reporting line, no stake in your succession, no one whose job changes based on what you say.

That is what makes the conversations possible that simply cannot happen internally. Weakness can be admitted, confusion can be worked through, and an exit can be discussed as an option rather than as a resignation.

Cadence is set to the leader, from an hour a month by phone through to regular onsite time.

What changes

One relationship where thinking out loud stays private, sends no signal, and creates no consequence for anyone’s workload. The things that could not be said anywhere get said, examined, and dealt with rather than carried.

Truvian starts by understanding what you’re facing, then shapes the work around it.

It begins with a conversation.
